Within it's traditional French village setting, Vaujany offers visitors top-class skiing, ice skating and trekking facilities amongst an unspoilt environment in beautiful mountain landscapes. Vaujany takes great pride in it's efforts and success in conserving its traditional Alpine authenticity.

Vaujany has a great little story attached to it, and provides an insight into the type of village it is. During the 1980s the town was awarded a considerable payout due to a hydroelectric scheme that was built nearby. The town decided on purchasing a 160-person gondola to connect the town with the famous Alpe d'Huez resort.

Now Vaujany offers skiers a genuine rustic and authentic French alternative to the sprawling purpose built mega resort that many consider an eyesore.
