When skiing for the first few times you need to take care in selecting a resort that is best suited to your requirements. Basically, you want to make things as easy as possible for yourself. This means lots of gentle slopes, wide pistes (that's a ski trail...) and good access to ski schools.
Most resorts have an area or areas designated as learner slopes, but the proportion of the ski resort dedicated to beginners can vary greatly. Some ski resorts offer a small, busy area tucked away out of the sun while others have large easy uncrowded learner slopes where you can enjoy different skiing throughout your holiday.
