High altitude La Plagne is part of the giant Paradiski ski area, set in the Savoie French Alps. Ten separate bases offer a huge amount of variety in accommodation, nightlife and activity in a mix of traditional villages and purpose-built resorts. The vast ski area is linked by over 110 lifts, with massive skiable vertical and glacier skiing right at the top.
The villages can be grouped into two categories: the high, purpose built resorts, and the lower traditional villages.
Of the purpose built villages, Belle Plagne is the newest and one of the most attractive, designed to look elegant and traditional, while La Plagne Centre is the heart of the ski area and is the oldest village. While not as visually attractive it has lots going on, with lots . Plagne Soleil and Plagne Villages sit high up at 2020 m, with Aime la Plagne just below at 2100 m. Plagne Bellecote is a sporty centre, with it's freestyle stadium, outdoor pool and ice skating rink. Plagne 1800 is set near a beautiful forest and offers an escape into peace and quiet.
The second group consists of the traditional vilages, where restored farmhouses add charm to Champagny en Vanoise, Les Couches, Montchavin and Plagne Montablert. Most people who have skied La Plagne return saying it's underrated - it's a beginner and intermediate paradise, with easily accessible learner areas, and miles of long wide runs.
A massive interlinking lift system whisks you from one zone to the next with ease. Make sure you check out Roche de Mio (2700m), on the way to the to the breathtaking glacier, where even inexperienced skiers can enjoy genuinely long runs home. Adventurous intermediates can ski the beautiful itinerary route to Les Bauches, and on to Les Arcs. Because more skiers tend towards the beginner - intermediate side, you can find untracked powder to the side of the pistes long after it will have been skied out at other resorts. With more than fifty restaurants and ten nightclubs to choose from, you'll never be bored after the sun goes down in La Plagne. Kids are well looked after too - with nurseries in most of the villages.

Reflex Ski School
Reflex Ski School is a small, friendly independent ski school based in La Plagne. They have been established for more than 10 years and their aim is to provide high quality tuition at an affordable price. Reflex Ski School specialise in private lessons on ski, snowboard and telemark. During February half term they offer children's group lessons, with a maximum of eight children per group. At Reflex it's also possible to experience: off-piste sessions, snowshoe treks, snow bikes and snakegliss. Their team of experienced instructors all speak excellent English and are fully qualified. Their main meeting point is in Plagne Centre, and 1800 (for early morning lessons) but they can meet anywhere in La Plagne (depending on the week).
