Paradiski ... when two French mega resorts meet!
At the centre of the Savoie French Alps lies an amazing group of resorts dotted across a white paradise which form the Paradiski ski area. This massive area came alive when the two (already giant!) ski fields La Plagne and Les Arcs were joined by the Vanoise Express cable car; which will whisk you between resorts in just four minutes, and can take 2000 people an hour. This is a match made in heaven for skiers, with the combined area holding a mind-blowing amount of skiing and boarding to suit every taste.
You'll lose yourself in the freedom of 425 km of piste, two glaciers and three summits towering above 3000 m. Paradiski's 20 resorts offer fantastic choice for every budget. La Plagne is made up of seven lively mountain resorts and four older more traditional villages. Les Arcs is a sunny south-facing group of modern resorts with huge steep black runs like the 7 km Aiguille Rouge piste calling all expert skiers, and wide sunny runs for beginners and intermediates to cruise on. The technical challenge of the off-piste here is beyond compare, and if you do venture off the beaten track you'll find big faces, narrow gullies, and wide powder bowls.
Après-ski varies between and even within the resorts - you can take your pick of lively rowdy partying in Plagne Centre or Arc 1800 or choose a more relaxed holiday in La Plagne 1800 or Arc 1950. Boarders will delight in the five snowparks and three boardercross areas. Don't miss the naturally made park in Bellecote, which snakes between pine and larch trees and is covered in handrails and jumps.
