Skiing in the incredible Three Valleys

Every skier dreams of endless pistes, the chance to ski different slopes every morning, visit a different village every day - of waking up with a giant expanse of winter wonderland spread out below them and knowing that there's no way that they could ski it all. A ski holiday in Les Trois Vallées is waking up from that dream to find it's reality. Mind-blowing is not an exaggeration. To prove our point, picture this: the six largest ski areas in America could fit inside Les Trois Vallées with plenty of room to spare.

The largest ski area in the world, The Three Valleys are home to eight ski resorts that are linked together by a network of ski lifts and runs. Nearly 200 lifts, 600 km of runs, 130 km of cross country trails, 1, 500 snow cannons, 360 ski patrollers and 1, 200 lift attendants is hard to get your head around! So let us break it down for you...

The wide range of resorts means that there is unquestionably something here for everyone. Village-wise, the areas are completely separate, and the easiest way to jump between is to ski. Calling the Three Valleys home: Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, La Tania, Brides les Bains, Les Menûires, Saint Martin de Belleville and Grelle - each with a different personality.

The chic, stylish Courchevel is one of the most sought-after destinations in the world, as is Meribel with fabulous après ski atmosphere. Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, towers above with unbeatable powder. If you're after picturesque relaxation, try the replenishing atmosphere of spa village, Brides les Bains, or for a chilled-out, inexpensive family holiday, look to La Tania or Les Menuires. And so the list goes on...
